Studio BAKSTEEN is alive!

Hi there! We hereby announce that we finally found a name for our little gamestudio...

We're calling it BAKSTEEN.

Now you may wonder what BAKSTEEN means? Well basically it's just a brick. It literally means “baked stone” in Dutch – the standard rectangular brick used in building walls and houses especially in the country where we come from (the Netherlands). We live in a house made with exactly those rectangular baked orange bricks.

BAKSTEEN is a little wink at our Dutch heritage, the Netherlands and those beautiful orange houses that were literally baked out of mud and clay. Oh yeah.. and did you know orange is the national color in the Netherlands? I don't think its because of the color of the bricks, but that's for you to find out. In any case we're proudly continuining the Dutch builder heritage, on the digital gaming stage that is!

Why are we doing this? We're doing all of this purely for the fun of creation, and hopefully some other people will enjoy our games too. Creating your own gameplay, design and animating all the models is one of the most satisfying things we can imagine.

ZombieZOO! TD Here's a sneakpeak into the game we're developing right now called ZombieZOO! TD. When we'll launch it? Asap... however with the rate of development now it will probably take a few more months. Hopefully somewhere during the first few months of 2026.
